St Davids Day, also known as The Feast Of St David, the patron saint of Wales.
March first was the day chosen, for remembrance of the death of St David.
Being a (partly) Welsh family, it is something we like to acknowledge and if we have time, make some Welsh treats.
Unfortunately this year we didn't get chance. But here are some yummy things for you to check out.
For a traditional Welsh recipe (and a favourite of The Janitors) make yourself some Bara Brith, otherwise known as 'speckled bread', a rich fruit loaf, made with tea.
